Assumption Senior Girls National School is a Catholic school for girls located off the Long Mile Road in Walkinstown, Dublin 12. We cater for pupils from third to sixth class, from Walkinstown and the surrounding areas. We also opened an ASD class in 2024; please see our enrolment tab for more information about the admission process for that class.

Our school, in accordance with our ethos, works to create a nurturing and welcoming school community. Our school also welcomes and embraces children of all faiths and none.

The school was built in 1958 by the sisters of Charity and is under the patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin. The school is run by a Board of Management.

We have large school grounds which include a beautiful enclosed garden. It is used all year round for walks, and outdoor projects. Children in our school also enjoy a dedicated library on site, and are welcome to check-out books to read in class or at home.

Our bike shelter is located inside the main entrance to the school and children are welcome to lock their bikes there during the school day.
